Gloria Shows (b. 1990, Angeles City, Philippines) is a Filipino American artist whose work is largely influenced by her formative years in Japan, England, and the United States. Through relief printmaking, textiles, and illustration, Shows blends personal, natural, and cultural histories and narratives from her multicultural upbringing. These narratives address fated conditions of instability, change, and adaptation. She received her BFA from the University of Central Oklahoma with an emphasis in printmaking. She is currently a MFA candidate at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, where she lives and works.
She is currently a member of Southern Graphics Council, and the Filipino American Artist Directory.
